Express Program Pricing

The easiest way to figure out the cost of using our Express Program is to contact us and request a free written estimate. The following explains the process we go through to determine the cost of your job.

Material Base Price

The first decision to make is which material you want to use. We have included the base square foot price for many of the materials that we offer on this website. For example, if your kitchen is 40 square feet, you would usually only need to purchase a full slab (there are roughly 50-60 square feet of material in a slab). The amount of usable square feet we can get out of slab varies depending on the layout of the job. So, if your kitchen is 50 square feet, it’s possible that it would require two slabs in order to have enough material to do the job without many seams. In these situations, we are happy to show you the layout so you can verify the need for the extra slab. If you’re not about how many slabs your job will need, you can contact us and we’ll have you send a rough drawing so that we can let you know what will be required.

Fabrication and Installation

Once we’ve determined the cost of the materials needed, we add the cost of fabrication and installation. We charge $36.00 per square foot to cover fabrication and installation. If you do the installation yourself, we charge $28.00 for fabrication only. The fabrication charge includes our three free edge profiles at no extra charge (please see the edge profile picture below). However, there are some other potential charges to be aware of.

  • $250 per kitchen sink cutout and polishing
  • $125 per vanity sink cutout and polishing
  • $175 per kitchen sink cutout when there are two or more sink cutouts in the job
  • $75 per vanity sink cutout when there are two or more sink cutouts in the job
  • $300-$700 for removal and proper disposal of old stone tile or stone counter tops
  • $200-$500 for removal and proper disposal of old laminate or Formica counter tops
  • $100 for a drop in stove top cutout (a stove that needs a hole cut into the granite and that drops in)
  • $100 for the stove down draft cutout
  • $19 per linear foot for half round, half bull nose, half bevel, full bull nose, crescent, chisel (aka “rock chip”) and ogee edges (see pictures of most of the edges below)

For those interested in keeping the costs down, self-removal of the old counter tops (if any) is a nice way to save some money.

Example Order

Here is an example order to help you understand how the pricing works. Below are the steps we go through in calculating the cost of an order. This example order uses Tan Brown granite and buys one stainless steel undermount kitchen sink from us for $150.00.This job has one kitchen sink.

We like for our customers to know how our prices are calculated and in general the process is very straight forward. However, you may still need clarification about something specific or perhaps your job requires something unusual that is not mentioned in our list above. If so, then you can ask us a question and we will get back to you with an answer.

Edges

There are ten different edge profiles to choose from. Three of our edges are FREE (Eased, Quarter Bevel and Quarter Round)! Many fabricators charge up to and beyond $40 per linear foot for some of these edges so if you are planning on a fancier edge then you will be able to save in this area. We also offer the chiseled edge profile. This profile gives the granite a rustic, rugged look (as though someone chiseled the edge).

Hand Pick Your Slabs

Another advantage of the Express Program is that you will have the ability to pick out the exact slab that’s right for you. Each slab has its own unique color and veining characteristics and you can choose the one that best suits you. We will meet you at our supplier to go through the available slabs and help you to pick yours out. Are you looking for a specific stone or stones? Ask us and we will find a local supplier that has it.

Referral Program

Do you have a friend or acquaintance that is thinking about buying new countertops? Granite Mill has a referral incentive for our retail program that allows you to get compensated for successful referrals. The details are explained below.

If you do know someone who is interested or has questions and who would like to be contacted regarding countertops, you can use the Contact Us Form to let us know and we will contact them and answer any questions that they may have about the process or the products. Make sure to let us know when you fill out the form that you are submitting a referral. The customer will also have a chance to let us know that the job was a referral by filling out a field on the final invoice. Referrals are especially effective if we’ve done work for you and you can testify to the quality of the work.

When we do a job 40 sq ft and up that is a referral, we’ll give you a $100 Amazon Gift Card!

If you know of someone who is looking to get countertops or who has questions, you can refer them now and you’ll be eligible for a referral payment if they order.
